ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Web Visual Designer in sunny Jacksonville, FL. This is starting out as a contract position running through April 2019 with potential to extend or roll into an FTE position. Candidates must be eligible to work for any employer without sponsorship, and able to work as our W2 employee for the contract.

Responsibilities
·       Design, develop, and organize the creative strategy for our websites.
·       Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and communicate these through storyboards, mood boards, visual design mockups, etc.
·       Incorporate best-in-class design principles (Color theory, space, shape, alignment etc.) to web and mobile application concepts
·       Develop and ensure continuity and adherence to design standards through wireframes, design mockups, and quality reviews
·       Work with UX designers, developers, and other web designers to design and deliver exceptional assets for all online experiences
·       Use responsive design techniques for use across multiple platforms
·       Maintain web best practices and user experience optimization
 
 
Qualifications
·       College education or technical training in graphic design or graphic arts
·       3-4 years of previous design experience in a professional corporate setting
·       Expert understanding of web graphic design, layout, typography and iconography
·       Experience selecting, creating and guiding visual content for the web (photos, advertising banners, video, etc.).
·       Strong sense of web design and a general understanding of the fundamentals of user experience and cross-platform compatibility;
·       Experience with responsive grid systems
·       Proficient in the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
·       You will be working in agile environment. You must be comfortable managing a dynamic workload to balance priorities with deadlines to effectively meet project needs.
·       Must be able to communicate effectively with other members of the UX team, technical teams, and business partners.
·       Strong digital portfolio.  Be prepared to show and review during an interview.
 
Also a plus
·       Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and cross-browser compatibility a plus
·       Experience with mobile design (native and mobile web) a plus
·       Experience with web accessibility guidelines and requirements a plus
