Large hospitality client in the Ft Lauderdale, FL area seeks a Sr Information Security Project Manager for a 1 year contract to manage a portfolio of information security projects that will require coordination with a matrix set of IT and business resources to meet security strategy objectives.

Candidates must be eligible to work for any employer. This is a W2 contract, sorry no Corp-to-Corp or visa transfers.

The ideal candidate for this role has a security and technical leadership background in addition to a deep and modern project management foundation. The Information Security Project Manager is expected to continually evolve internal development processes/procedures, effectively manage a team of 20 - 30 resources, and deliver projects on time and budget.

Oversees the implementation of the new system; develops project plans, prepares and conducts weekly status meetings as well as the allocation of the resources and the establishment of the timeline(s) commitments and the adherence that the timeline is met, in conjunction with the IT Information Security executive team.

This person must be a leader, self-driven, and possess an above the line attitude willing to work under little supervision. Will be reporting to the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) on this initiative. Must be able to present work samples.

Provides technical leadership, trouble shooting, procedural support and solutions to enterprise 

Responsibilities:

o Determine the project approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule. 
o Develop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for the project’s schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience. The resulting estimates account for all activities in the project scope, including project management and application development tasks, software quality assurance reviews, and vendor and contract management activities. 
o Define team member roles and expectations, and ensure timely feedback. Ensure that project resources receive any necessary training and are used effectively. 
o Review, and be responsible for, the overall development and integration of requirements. 
o Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations. Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks. Make adjustments as necessary. 
o Define the project iterations strategy. Manage and evaluate iterations. 
o With other leads, develop, implement, and maintain the Project Plan, including the configuration management, risk management, project measurement, and quality management plans. 
o Ensure that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team members. 


Experience:

o 7+ years experience in Project Management, preferably in an information security department 
o 2+ years experience in Project Management in the Travel & Leisure Industry 
o PMP and MBA preferred 
o Must have strong application development and/or technical infrastructure experience
o Must have solid understanding of full project life cycle and management methodologies

20-30% Travel Required:

Travel Description:
This positions requires extensive travel during deployment times including international offices environment. 
Travel to development and testing facilities, as well as to ships for actual deployments.
This position requires a valid US passport and TWIC required. Contractor must have access to a major credit card for travel expenses (expenses will be reimbursed).
